Respected / owners of factories and warehouses of cosmetic products
Asharqia Chamber presents its best greetings to you, and would like to inform you of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (G / 2133) dated 29/7/1439, which referred to the letter of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority No. 40163 dated 24/7 / 1439). It is on the necessity of reporting to the factories and warehouses of beauty/cosmetic products that have not applied for the licenses from the SFDA until now. As they have to start the procedures for licensing their facilities because the obligation was made on 12/4/ 1436 (corresponding to February 1, 2015) in order to avoid the application of the irregularities provided by the system, for example:
- Shutting down the infringing establishment, holding its products, and pulling the products if they are traded on the market.
- A fine would be imposed of up to 5 million Saudi Riyals according to the list of violations of the cosmetic products system and its executive regulations.
